Southeast Asia graduation trip: back to Bangkok, onward to HCMC (7)

Saturday we flew back to Bangkok at 10am, short 1 hour flight. Our plan was to switch to an earlier flight to Ho Chi Minh to allow us more time, this unfortunately didn't work. We also weren't able to check in until after 4pm, so wondered around. Responded to a survey. A 65 year old Chinese guy took our picture and tried to chat with Masa. We got foot /leg massages and a little shoulder. Then explored the terminals and lounges and departed for HCMC at 7:30pm, arrived at 8:45 ahead of schedule, no trouble at immigration. I got my visa at the embassy in Tokyo. Kochia picked us up with her driver at 9:15 and gave us a Blitztour of old Saigon District 1. We saw Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, 30-4 Park, HCMC City Hall, Opera House, Ben Thanh Market, Bitexco Finacial Tower, War Remnants Museum. We stopped off for a famous Vietnamese coffee. We got back to the airport shortly after 11pm, priority immigration a but mega long security lines. We made it through with a little rest at the lounge before take off at 12:30.
